In the autumn, Finlayson Area will turn into a festival centre. There will be up to six different festivals in the area, offering a wide range of extraordinary events. For example, dark evenings will be lit up by light art on the wall next to the Väinö Linna Square. We welcome you to the centre of art and culture!

Festivals offer new and astounding things to do and see

Finlayson Area's festival autumn is full of options! In September, the events in the area's facilities and outside spaces include the Oijoijoi festival of modern circus, the Steampunk festival, the TAD week of architecture and design, the Projio media and light art event and the international Puppet Theatre Festival. The festivals' programmes and schedules can be found in the event calendar.

In Finlayson Area, rainy autumn days are just fine

Get your friends together and solve the challenges of an escape room or play laser tag. Roof walks organised by Amazing City continue until early October, but remember that a roof walk is at its best on a rainless day. In Finlayson Area, you can also find Tampere's largest cinema, Finnkino Plevna. You can fill your belly with Speakeasy's chicken wings, Pala Cafe's delicacies or Afgan's Afghan food, for example. Hunger is followed by thirst – luckily Brewery Restaurant Plevna and its drinks brewed on the premises are right around the corner.
